About Us

I created Misspits rescue to share my passion for these wonderful dogs and help as many as I can. I have fostered through my local shelter as well as a local rescue, Forgotten Dogs Rescue for nearly two years. I have decided to start out on my own as a small home based rescue. All my dogs will be housed as family pets in my home until they are placed in their forever homes. My first rescued pit bull, Dexter showed me a glimpse of these wonderful, loving dogs and I never looked back. His story, as well as others will be told here as well. He would have been euthanized simply because of his breed if relinquished to a shelter. This is something I hope to change. It is our responsibility as pit bull owners to advocate, share and educate for our dogs. I also strongly believe in spaying and neutering and none of our dogs will be placed until they are fixed. Misspits is funded solely by donations and adoption fees as well as my own contributions. Thank you for reading!
